its still a deal ! you get 3% cashback and 2% ebay bucks , thats like paying $808 , u will be able to sell it used in 6 months for that much i am guessing !

I would agree with you, just not enough to push me over the Buy It Now edge. I'll have to suffer through my MB for a while :D

Mr rebates has 3% cashback for ebay.

Also you can sign up for ebay bucks and get 2-4%.

Also check all of your ebay accounts, some accounts are getting a 10% off coupon from ebay.

Sign in and look at the top of the page, it should say 10% off coupon or something like that.

What's the MR rebate? Where can I find it? Thanks! :)

Looks like this is done now. Price has gone up to $948.99.

Pity, I couldn't use this offer anyway -- I'm in Canada and while I do have a U.S. shipping address, it's not Paypal confirmed.

Bought one yesterday. My 10% coupon expired 2 weeks ago. Still a good deal @ $849. Don't know if I'll even open it but didn't want to miss the deal.

I'm just very tired of lugging my MBP 15 when I travel for work. I've started taking the iPad only for day trips. Still there are times I need a full copy of Word, Excel and Acrobat Pro. Hopefully this 11" is light enough to take everywhere.

Cheers,

Arrived yesterday...

Kudos to MacMall on their quick shipping. Nice to see the large trackpad and nice keyboard size. Compared to the iPad, the LCD is nice with good color, although an ips screen would have been killer. I need to get used to the wide screen compared to my Rev.A, I also wish is was less glossy.

I installed Lightroom 3.3, and its quite snappy and works well with the wide screen. Import of GF1 raw files was quick and editing is quite acceptable. An SD slot would have been nice, but carrying a tiny reader is not a huge deal.

Based on my first commute with it, it looks like the iPad will be staying at home. The iPad is still a great device for viewing PDF ebooks, watching movies and games, but for photo editing the Air wins hands down.

Thanks again to the O.P. for bringing the deal to my attention... after selling my Rev. A air for $450, the new machine only cost me $319 .

Actually, it's an LED-based screen. Even better!
