Im not kidding but it does work. Just apply a very small amount of vaseline and it will last a long time before it has to be reapplied. I would think any type of grease would work just as well.

I put the vaseline on my trackpad and I still don't like the feel of it. Feels greasy then I removed some and it still feels coarse. Can't win
