Another kernel panic...different log, but now both panics have been after having the lid closed for a long period of time ( ~2 hours ).

Although this one I had the lid closed, wife unplugged the power supply, and a couple hours later, I plugged it back in, opened the lid and nothing. I held down the power button, in case it had lost all battery power and was just powered down ( although not likely since it was only 2 hours ) and nothing. Then I released power and held it down again and it booted and reported a kernel panic...

I might experiment with it more this week to see if I can reliably reproduce it. Hopefully someone smarter than me is working on it as well. :)

Perhaps its an application that you have installed that's causing it. I was getting kernel panics all the time, but then I uninstalled VMWare Fusion about 3 weeks ago and haven't had one since. Safari still crashes all the time, however.

Did you run the startup diagnostics? I think if you boot up and hold down the D key it will run some hardware tests.

So far all of mine have happened with the lid closed. I hope there's an update soon, last time I had the annoyance of shutting my laptop down every time I wanted to close the lid was on a Dell machine running Windows 95.

Have it checked out at the Genius Bar. It is definitely not normal activity. Perhaps it's a hardware issue.
