I got this incase bag from Apple yesterday and it fits MBA perfect.
The bag is light and has room to carry other small accessories.
It's kinda pricey but I absolutely love it.

I ended up buying the Brenthaven ProLite I for the MacBook. Hopefully it is snug enough to protect it. Anybody have experience with this bag? I am hoping that it is a small and light bag.

I received my Prolite 1 today, it's a little bigger than I hoped ... think I'll return it.

I'm looking for a bag for my MacBook Air, small yet large enough to hold the Air, along with a phone, a paper notebook, wallet keys etc, kind of a man bag that holds a macbook too, that would be very functional when on the go, pockets empty and everything in one place ...

idea bag to me has no flap, a zipper compartment for the macbook, a separate roomy compartment for paper notebook, wallet, keys phone, newspaper and that's it, should be thin and light with an optional shoulder strap and a carry and or loop should you wish to carry it casually, should be all black and manly looking has hell, lol :)

Perfect for your needs.

I just can't decide on a color. Olive sounds good for everyday running around but it's bonus if I can take it into meetings

At least Jobs did it! lol

Old thread bumped! (sorry)

This is exactly what I'm looking for but with a pouch to store the power brick :hs:

The point of having the air is it's thinness.. Carrying around a thin laptop like this with a big thick bag is pointless!

I know waterfield is already shipping the sleevecase in a new size (13-2) that is made to fit the MBA snugly. I have never had a case like this but I have heard numerous great things about their quality and durability. I ordered a vertical loading one with a flap. Will post pics upon its arrival.

That would be the 13-5 sleeve for the New 13 MBA

I carry both my ipad and MBA 11" in the same small Targus bag.

Anyway I think that's it. Fits both AC adapters in the front pocket under the flap too.

Cheers,

I bought the Waterfield horizontal sleeve for my 2010 13" MBA and carry it in a Coach leather briefcase; the combo fits my needs well.

Crumpler - hard suit special edition 13" air - espresso

Just got my new bag and am happy with it. It looks very well made and my MBA (old model 2009) fits into it perfectly (has a MBA-form within the padding).

Protection wise the bag has about 1.5inch padding on either side of the MBA. Padding material seems to be some sort of hard cardboard/ plastic mixture, which seems pretty secure (i.e. MBA would probably survive an odd elbow or door slamming, but not a drop out of your hand while walking). Material definitely offers better protection better than the standard nylon sleeves.

Bargain: paid £19,99 (ebay)

http://www.crumpler.eu/index.cfm?seite=laptop&sprache=EN

Dimensions:

Internal 32.5 x 22.7 x 2 cm. (looks like 3-4 times the MBA hight, still easily fits into my backpack, if I don't want to carry the bag on its own or need to take my charger).

Features
Rooster Tex ™ hyper performance accessory fabric
Turtleshell Construction with super protection hard shell and additional internal foam shell
Snuggle-soft lining inside
Extra big zip with 2 zip pullers (rain proof)
