MacBook M1 camera grainy after upgrade to macOS 15.1

Was just considering upgrading to Sequoia. Does the camera look grainy if you use your iPhone camera as a webcam too or just the built-in webcam?

I now see this on our feedback ticket. Hopefully this OS update isn't far away.

It's just the built-in webcam. My external webcam works just fine.
 
I was planning on finally updating my 14" M1 Max from Monterey to Sequoia, but this does not sound too good... I guess I'll wait at least until 15.2 is released. Thank you for bringing this up!
 
Got the same issue, I thought it was because I went for a trip overseas and something happened. Anyway, they replaced the entire display assembly and the camera. I don't have it back yet but I will go collect sometime this week.

Update: got it back, exact same issue, they said its not a hardware issue and it is a software issue I should perform a clean reinstall on the Mac or wait for future updates

For sequoia beta 1 and beta 2. Even facetime use to lag I would see video and audio with too much lag. I will test that out today too.

Any update whether the latest beta is working currently in regards to audio en video?

Upgraded to 15.1.1 and still issue persist. When will the patch be released?

Facing a lot of issues cause major part of work depends on multiple video calls.

edit: i read just now that it will come in 15.2 ... Sadly we all have to wait for that.
