I bought a white 2ghz MB last week, took it home and started to play around with it, my first impression was great but then it started to moo which was very audible and there was a buzzing sound from the power block when pluged in which really annoyed me! so i brought it back and now i have a brand new one which is as silient as my old g4 ibook never makes a sound, doesnt get as hot or have the buzzing from the power block! Couldnt be happier!

Just reading through.

The last time I heard noises like the mooing macbooks it came from an acer laptop. Scary comparison but valid with the intel switch. We learnt that the acers powermanagment was running amok and the end result was that the acer burnt out its mother board. I can only suggest you should take these macbooks back, my guess is that the firmware is a bit glitchy at the moment.

Yay, now we're reviving old threads that are in the wrong forum!
