If you took it to the "authorized repair" place once, and they messed it up (scratches), then...
... why take it to them AGAIN...?

omg YES, exactly. I was really afraid of taking again. I had sent to apple the images of the scratches and they said they would take good care of it... and I said they should have taken care of it since the first time I took the machine there. At this point I prefer to mail the machine to apple itself

So I called apple in the middle of this week, and I had to send them videos e pictures for like the seventh time (each time I call I need to do this as if they didn't have the pictures already..). They said I should take to the authorized repair again.
It's too bad there isn't an actual Apple Store near you. If you send a product to an authorized Apple repair center and they damage your product, there needs to be accountability. If the repair shop refuses to take responsibility for the damage they caused, I feel Apple should step in and make things right for you. How Apple then chooses to deal with the "authorized" repair shop that damaged your laptop is between Apple and that repair facility.

In the end, authorized repair shops like the one you describe only serve to hurt Apple's brand.

So here’s some news. They basically replace everything (expect the ssd, memory) but the entire chassis, display, battery. Now the problem is solved. There’s no clicking or popping noise anymore, at least til now anyways. For anyone who’s been going through this issues, call them and if they say they’re not going to replace anything and say that this is “normal” threat them saying you’ll post a video on youtube and on forums like this one. That’s what I did and the tone changed right away after that!

I'm glad you were finally made whole. Sorry to hear about all the hoops you had to go through. It's so frustrating to have to deal with noise on such an expensive machine. Glad Apple was able to sort it all out for you in the end. Hope your Mac stays noise free from here on and you can enjoy using it for years to come.

Remembers me of my 2017/2018 MacBook Pro when I had it. I went to the Apple Store many times, but I was told ‘no’ everytime. Even when I spoke to the manager, they told me there is no solution and the answer always has been ‘no’. They didn’t repair anything, they didn’t replace anything either. At that time, Apple was very rigid with their answers.

I ended up selling that MacBook Pro, just to get a message three weeks later that the girl who bought it, accidentally spilled tea over her MacBook Pro. She’s got a new one and the old MBP went to popping-heaven.
