Hmmm. I have 100Mbps FTTH. Using my Asus RT-N66U 5Ghz band Wifi I get around 50Mbps with speedtest, but I can get more if I disable WPA2 personal security. With ethernet cable it gets crazy :D

Wow that's great.

Comcast just upped my speed by 66% for free so I get around 30 Mbps. Which is more than enough ..

In Europe it is common to have fast download speeds.

Using a 2.4Ghz router I can get arround 70mbps. Having 802.11ac would be good, but I am ok with 802.11n.

No, because 802.11n was around for years, but 802.11ac hasn't even been finalized yet. So the chances of magically having a yet-released networking card are little to none.

No....N was still in draft form when apple started using it. Just like AC.

USB Adapter!

Is there a 802.11AC :apple: USB Adapter that would work? Been looking and all seem to be PC only...

Its possibly to upgrade. I upgraded my 2008 MPP wireless G to Wireless N.

You might not have all the antennas run but would see a performance increase I think.

Well, I'd rather have symmetrical 25Mbps than 100/5 or some ridiculous dl/ul ratio, especially if I want to make any use of cloud services.

Wow looking at these chips' similar endings, it might actually work. AND I believe OS X 10.9 has a universal AC driver which will make it work so we wouldn't need a firmware update like the current Air's need. This is all for a theory….I'll do it if one of you guys do it lol

EDIT: If someone orders the part from ifixit once its available and fails. We can try and wait for the parts from the 2nd gen rMBP 15 when it comes out. I'm optimistic, especially since I have the new time capsule! :D
