Hey I'm a media student too and this thing lets me run Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and flash all at once. only thing I can tell ya is to download smc fancontrol. when you know you're going to be using alot of memory, crank up the fan about halfway and it should take care of the heat, if it's a problem.

Don't drop yours like I did mine either, it's a sad experience.

:(

point is, I still love her.

I absolutely adore my MBP CD!! I switched about 3 weeks ago and I can't believe I've waited this long to switch. Everything just works and there's a wealth of knowledge on this site as well as many others if you have problems or want to know how to do something. Now, I have to talk my wife into getting rid of our PC desktop for a 24" iMac!! GO :apple: !!!

I just bought a c2d mbp one week ago. Today I found that my right speaker is dead. I have to wait till mid Feb to be able to get it fixed at an apple store in Houston (I live in Baton Rouge). But I'm in love with my mbp! Just a little disappointed. I still recommend you to get one, nothing compares to the performance. I wish quality is what it used to be though but it'll get sorted out eventually.

got it and love it.

I got mine a few days ago, and like I posted elsewhere....

I LOVE IT :D :D :D :D :D :D  <--- (had more smilies here until it told me that I couldn't add more then 10)

Lots of smilies I know... but after 3 years with my dad's old TiBook (which mind you was in perfectly fine condition and I did adore, and if anyone is interested, I'm looking to sell it to help pay for the new computer :) ) I was SOOOOO happy to get my new computer.

Nothing wrong with it. Works GREAT and I am only using the original 512mb of ram even (waiting to go home to get the 1 gig stick my dad has for me) Even photoshop is running pretty well on it surprisingly.

I  my :apple:

Best upgrade and computer ever :) and my boss has a intel imac he recently got pushed to switch too.

speakers work, programs work, screen is beautiful and .. well way too bright... I have to keep it at 50-75% most of the time... so used to my tibooks screen. I am barely noticing this grain issue I kept hearing about .... and as a design student I'm pretty picky. it's just GREAT.

It made me fall in love with macs all over again. THe only thing I have to say I miss is being able to lift up the keyboard to get to the drive and reset button and board and such... not to mention it made cleaning the keyboard 800 times easier, but all in all. NO COMPLAINTS :-D

ok. I think that's enough going on about how much I love my computer.
