MacBook Pro/ Dell / AlienWare...what to do??

I don't know whether Mac support will be merged into x86 Linux distros intended for Wintel computers with BIOS and so on, but in the past, the Mac distros have been somewhat limited in terms of their support for hardware. Like I think they had limited AE/BT support. And AE in particular would be hard to do without. I don't know if this will become a non-issue with x86 Linux quickly or not.
