Are you still talking about this?

https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/all-early-2015-macbook-pros-are-rattling.1935788/

Because it isn't a real problem, it's something you and a few others have made up to nit-pick.

Don't SHAKE your laptop, it won't rattle. It isn't designed to be flipped around like that. Set it on your desk, set it on your lap and proceed to USE it.
It's a very old post, but I have to respond to it. I come from a post-communist country where people are just as closed and denied. Lol, shut up and don't call me when Apple made you something. I don't understand this approach, it almost comes to me as internet bullying, a troll who walks the net and evaluates what is the relevant problem and what is not.

I disagree. My point was that shaking the computer is outside of normal use. Any “problems” identified this way aren’t necessarily defects. Folks who go out looking for this kind of thing need to adjust their expectations.

For the record, the 2015 13” rMBP that I had when I made the post you replied to…is still working just fine.

I could agree with you if it was any other brand in the universe. But it's Apple. A brand, whos main USP is the uncompromising perfectionism, even with parts, which no one will ever see. Apple, who pushes super macros to our face of product details wich are of a size not visible to the naked eye. So this company produces a notebook, whith an insane development bug, which results in a knocking sound coming from the display assembly. And you said, that we should not shake it.. no, Apple should rise to the demands of itself, no matter how high they are.

Why don't you agree? Why can't someone tilt their computer? Just for information, my Macbook 16 "M1 has the same problem and I didn't figure it out during the shake. I found out while I put it on my knees and leaned it in. Lol. Out of normal use, then design an apple to put in instructions that the computer must not tilt and shake Is it written that you can't shake your computer?

Boomer answer from you.

It seems to me that it is complete nonsense, I know that it does not abound. But I'm glad that the people who found out about it 5 years ago created this forum where I found out that it happens quite commonly and that I don't have to run to the store. But there you will appear with your almost aggressive answers, I do not understand your motivations. When it seems like pettiness and a waste of time, I don't understand why you take the time to answer it.

This is serious? Still the brand new 2021 M1 Pro/Max MacBook Pro has this rattle issue?! How long should I wait for a MacBook which is not rattling?

Yes, mine has it too. As I write above, I did not shake them intentionally, but as I put it on my knees, I felt something moving inside.

Lol. At first I thought it was a max processor that needed more cooling space.

I had this issue on my 2017 MBP 15" and Apple was able to fit it under AppleCare. I'm not sure what they fixed but it worked.

I had a 2014 retina 15" that didn't have this issue.

I now have a 2015 retina 15" and it has this issue.

I was going to open it up and check the internal screws for the logic board and other things etc. but if its inside the screen? there's no way I'm opening that.

Its really sad that Apple isn't able to come up with a design solution for such a strange issue. Most laptops on the market don't have this issue as their screens are screwed/glued down into the housing.

If anything make the screen more user accessible and I'd be more than happy to open it up and figure out some solutions myself. Since my 2015 is not under warranty.

It sounds like you don’t understand how manufacturing works. Even $75,000 luxury cars aren’t flawless. Beyond that I’m still not sure how SHAKING a computer is categorized as normal usage.

Why don't you agree? Why can't someone tilt their computer? Just for information, my Macbook 16 "M1 has the same problem and I didn't figure it out during the shake. I answered all of these questions in my post. But I will reiterate: The MBP is designed to be placed somewhere, on your lap, on a table. It isn’t a maraca. Why would you shake it?

Someone found an inane “issue”, blew it out of proportion, and several people decided that it somehow negatively impacted how they used their computer.

Boomer answer from you.

Now that’s funny. Technically I’m somewhere between gen-x and millennial depending on which age range is used to define the generation. But if you wanna throw insults around go ahead.

No one is just straight up shaking their MacBooks.

They notice the loose parts knocking around while they're handling it/moving it. They slightly shake it to see what could be the loose part and try to fasten it back down if possible.

2015 MacBook Pro dual graphics - No rattling here ! Sounds like earlier models had this issue, but the dual does not.
