Has anyone else experienced this?

I bought it a couple of hours before the RAM price changes in June. When I placed the order, it said “1 last in stock online.” Yet a few days later, I noticed that it was no longer available on the website.

Then, suddenly, I was told that it wouldn’t arrive until late August, while the website showed that it was back in stock online on the exact same date. At this point, it really seems like the one I ordered was never actually in stock to begin with.

Since then, they’ve kept pushing the delivery date back. First, it was August 26th, then it suddenly moved to August 14th. But just five days before the expected delivery date, they pushed it back again. And again. And again. Now it’s been pushed all the way back to October 6th!

They seem to do this every time there are only five days left until the estimated delivery date. Like, what is going on!?

I live in Europe. Has anyone else experienced the same issue? At this point, I’m convinced I’m never going to receive it. I wouldn’t be surprised if they eventually just cancel my order without warning.

I’ve actually experienced something similar before with another online store when I ordered a game. They suddenly cancelled my order because it was out of stock, even though I had already placed the order.

Honestly, I’m starting to wonder if the same thing is going to happen here.

I really don’t want to buy from apple’s official website and pay more.

I really wondered but then only in the end you mentioned, you did not ordered from Apple.

Well, you should argue with the seller then. And if you want to know if someone else experienced it you should tell us which seller and which country. Let me guess, Germany?

Were you charged for the purchase that never came?

If not, time to face reality.
What you ordered... isn't coming.

Cancel the order and buy what you need from somewhere else.
Even if it costs more.

I didn’t pay, it’s a “collect and pay” at delivery order.
Yeah, I called and asked, and they said that it’s because Apple doesn’t have new models ready to ship to their store lmfao idk what to think.

When you are going through third-party resellers, these types of delays can happen regardless of whether you are purchasing a Mac or Windows PC. I think it is actually more likely now due to AI and system component pricing going insane because the AI companies are hogging up all available supply.

Again, I'll repeat what I posted earlier:
Time to face reality.
What you ordered... likely isn't coming.

Cancel and order from somewhere else.
I'd suggest... "directly from Apple" ...
That way you KNOW what you're getting, and pretty much when you'll get it, also.

You stated all that we needed to know in the opening of your second paragraph:

"I bought it a couple of hours before the RAM price changes in June."

I didn’t order it from Apple because the website didn’t update their price yet if it want the case of course I’d order it from Apple.

Yeah it’s so typical third party sellers! but it’s so strange how they claim that it’s apples fault because apple delayed the products, but only through third party sellers? Hmmm it’s very fishy to me.

They don't want to sell it to you for that price.
Haha, I’ve had my own theory that maybe they’re pissed that I snatched the last order of the old price and they hoped that I would give up and cancel due to all the delays, but then again is that even legal? It’s not my fault that I was quick enough to place my order 5 minutes before the change. That’s costumers right.
