Nearly identical story (ADC as well) - machine with the exact same specs minus iWork. Hasn't shipped yet, though, estimated ship date is 31st. Here's to hoping that not *too* many people ordered in the 30 mins between your order time and mine

Funny enough, almost same story here too. Estimated shipping is Nov. 1st and Estimated Delivery is Nov. 8th.

What is it like 450-500 dollars for another stick of 1GB of Ram?? I ordered...

2.33Ghz, 160GB @ 5400 rpm, 2GB of Ram (With another 1GB stick of Ram eagerly awaiting installation from Newegg for $115.00).

Actually the only reason I got the upgrade from Apple is it is a lot cheaper... The 2GB SODIMMS start around $650.

That's if you buy it directly from Apple. A lot of other sites such as Newegg have the exact same quality Ram for about 300-400 dollars less.

Show me where you can find it for a better deal then from apple as an option on the MBP. 2GB sticks are still really expensive.

Same here, I've got an estimated ship date (Nov. 2), but no delivery date

Also seems adding a glossy display changes the estimated ship date from 1-3 days to 3-5 days

I ordered my 17 inch mbp today online and it says 7-10 days to be shipped. i havent gotten a estimated ship day, but in the past, with standard shipping i get it the day after apple ships it. i guess they have a warehouse closeby to me. i cant wait for it to get here. gonna be the longest week of my life

Some folks on this board actually have their 15" C2D MBPs already... they got them from Apple stores. I am thinking the 17 inchers are a litttle behind the 15 inchers. I ordered the glossy too. Maybe that is why they are slow??

The 17" MBPs don't ship until 1 week later than the 15" models.

The glossy option does increase the shipping time, at least online orders. Tonight, I'm seeing "1-3 days" to ship on stock models, even if you add a larger 160GB HD - but change the screen to glossy, and the shipping time changes to "3-5 days."

Ordered my BTO 15" on Tuesday evening.

First got shipping estimate of 31 oct and delivery = 7 Nov

It shipped today but the estimated delivery date has gone up to Nov 8.

Don't know why the delivery time has suddenly gone up by 4 days.

12 Days is a long time in transit, even from China to the UK

So I'm still optimistic that it will be here sooner

I ordered my MBP yesterday morning. I ordered the stock base model with a matte screen, and it's estimated to ship by Oct. 31st, Halloween!

I used my ADC Canada student discount, so I'm guessing that it might take longer, because they'll probably have to call my school to verify that I'm a student.
