Ok.. Its Feb 10th with an Estimated Ship Date of Feb 10th.. Here we go again...

Im not gonna hold my breath... ;)

Update: Just spoke to apple, they werent very optimistic, expecting another slip.

It appears Apple have tried to take the full amount from my credit card..but my CC company has blocked it as an unusual transaction..d'oh.

Given them a call about it, so it should be sorted now.

Hopefully it doesn't affect the shipping time of mine!

Must be a good sign though if they're trying to take the money!

Well, my order is still saying Action Required, even after calling the CC company, Apple and confirming that a hold for the £1700 has been put onto the CC...

..Odd!

Looks like it might delay my order now.

If the MBP are shipping from Asia, then we have to face up to the fact that they're not shiiping on 10th

What?

Anyways, I'm going to give AmEx a call to let them know to expect this charge so I don't incur any delays. ;)

If they are shipping from China or Taiwan then it night time there. Do they work 24h/24h?

if its 1:40 PM here on the East Coast of the US it's 2:40 AM in Beijing, China

Nope...International Date line is in the pacific. Its definitely the 11th or very close to that in China and Taiwan. Asia shall always be in the future.

Yeah i looked it up and fixed my post

Does everyone that had an orignal shipping date of Feb. 7th, which got pushed back to the 10th, have a shipping date in March now? I'm starting to worry about my Feb. 15th date, since Apple has only told people there has been a delay on the date it was supposed to ship.

Can anyone with an orginal 7th ship date weigh in on this?

If I were you I would worry. Most likely unless Apple decided to put everyone who got an early ship date at the back of the queue, that you would have yours pushed back as well. I mean it only makes sense.

Of course tho, we have no idea what the configurations of the machines were that were pushed back. For all we know the people who were pushed back were the ones that pimped their machines out and were not stock models. So I ask the people who were pushed back a month.........did you order a stock model?

Uh... people getting March dates have been ordering over a week after the Keynote, FYI.

Why would Apple put the people that ordered first at the back of the queue? I don't undersand how that makes sense. I ordered the 1.83 with all the upgrades.

For a good theory on what happend to the pushed back orders, read the Boombashi posts starting on page 5 on this link...

I don't understand this point...what are you saying?

I think he's saying that the people that got pushed back from Feb 7 to March ordered over a week after the Keynote.... meaning they actually weren't some of the very first people to order. So since they ordered so late, they're behind those of us in the queue that may get theirs shipped on Feb 15.

Thanks...I was confused...how many people have claimed the March push back has happened to them?

I've actually only seen like 2 or 3 mentions of it that I know of.

And all ordered significantly after the keynote and were in the UK? If this is true it sounds like it was definatly an error.

"Most likely UNLESS Apple decided..." unless meaning hypothetically wouldn't happen. What I was saying is most likely everyone was pushed back. But I still think some people with the new Feb. 10th still retained that date. So the question is, what were the models of the MB Pro's pushed back.

What I don't understnad is why you think a lot of peope have been pushed back...

Well they were to ship today, and many people received notices for 3/10. This would mean that there is some kind of delay. These are the first people that ordered after the keynote. I mean all it could mean is a shortage of a certain part for some machines, but it could also be Apple not being able to fill their order quotas. I personally think that its an issue with the platform that is gonna send everyone back. I expect everyone with a later ship date to get a notice of the push back on or before their shipdate. I can't really think of much else that could add 1 month to people's shipdate, unless like I said it was only certain models that were affected, such as not enough 7200 rpm HD's or such.

edit: and none were shipped today....
