Mmmm, I don't know if this is a private conversation... :p But turning what on and off? One of the "ignore accidental" features? Or acceleration? (I guess I have to take the fact that Windows users are really not used to acceleration more seriously... I always used acceleration, even on Windows, and I just could not live with it!)

It was mentioned above...

the "ignore accidental trackpad input" checkbox. I keep it checked because that works best for me. I like mouse acceleration, but I don't *have* to have it. As long as I can adjust the sensivity or mouse speed so I don't have to pick up my mouse and place it back down to completely scroll across 2 screens, I'm good.

Mmmm, gotcha. Thanks. :)

I think...I'm with you. I think it makes a difference. But the confound is this: my iBook was the first ( ) notebook I ever owned with a trackpad (previously used trackpoints and long, long ago, a trackball). And when I got my iBook, which of course also has a "special" keyboard ;) I was definitely banging into things and driving myself crazy. It doesn't really happen anymore. I think it's because of a mix of turning that on, and learning how to use this notebook...I definitely have adapted to the keyboard, to my chagrin when I use full size keyboards....

But I don't think it does nothing, personally. I think it helps a little.

Oddly enough, I like it unchecked, and acceleration at maximum on my trackpad...and sometimes wish I could increase it a bit...haha
