That's what happened to me. It says they attempted a delivery but no one was home or business closed. Not sure how they came to that conclusion when I'm sitting near my door and no FedEx trucks have come by...

When was this? Did they eventually deliver later that day or was it delayed?

In general you get charged just before it changes to “preparing for shipment”.

This was today. They have yet to deliver, but on FedEx it says I can pick it up after 7 pm local time. So going to try that, because at this point I don't trust FedEx to deliver it.

Mine went from "delayed" to "scheduled delivery: pending". I called FedEx and they were no help at all. They didn't even give me the option to pick it up myself. Oh well, hopefully tomorrow.

Just checked my order status and it just changed over to "Preparing to Ship". I'm using Apple Card financing and the charge that was authorized for taxes and fees is still showing as pending.

Update: FedEx decided it did not clear customs and it is going back to Memphis. Went to the local FedEx center and that is where I learned that. Guess the waiting continues. Hopefully it delivers by the expected date of 11/29… oh, wait.

My tracking number was sent Friday the 3rd for a Dec 14 delivery with UPS and the number is still not active. It was originally ordered on Nov 26: 16" Max with 32MB memory and a 2T drive. Credit card charged for Apple Care on the 4th and the laptop on the 5th.

Most likely. I think Apple is prioritizing the 16-inch M1 Max at the moment since the configuration that you have is most commonly associated with the 16-inch.

How long does it take for tracking info to be available? According to the Apple Store App, my delivery date is next week but when I click on the ”track shipment” link in the app, the UPS tracking info isn’t available. This happen to anyone else?

It’s the memory that’s the hold up
