Hey guys, just ordered a 14’ base MBP yesterday. Has delivery date last week of feb. Usually Apple has exceeded delivery dates for me, but it seems like people ordering months ago are just getting theirs. Are orders experiencing delays, or should I generally expect the target delivery date to hit?
Probably should expect it around the target delivery date. The Chinese New Year really slows things down for a couple of weeks.

Anyone know what the usual delay between the first stage of shipping ("shipment picked up") and the order actually starting to transit? This is for Shanghai to Australia.

My order shows "picked up" on Thursday afternoon, but as of Saturday evening, there is no change.

Are deliveries usually batched together which means I'm waiting for a container to fill up or something similar?

On mine (Shanghai to canada) it was about a week with a handful of notifications of movement in Shanghai before it finally moved to Korea>North America

I ordered same config 1/14 with a 2/7-2/14 delivery window. Still processing. Will let you know when mine moves.

Well it’s literally 50 miles from me, but ups texted me an exception and my Tuesday delivery date is now gone, it pending release from non ups broker something about contacting them ever seen this before. Guessing I won’t be getting it as soon as hoped. Anyone have this ups message before?

Could be a 3rd party Customs service, I have had other things ordered from out of the country processed by contracted Customs brokers that get delayed a couple days waiting on some paperwork or process.

Weird, I’ve had a number of macs sent from China and never encountered this before. What an odd message for ups to post

Finally my Apple Card has been charged and finally moving down the line. Ordered Dec 28th. 16mbp M1 super duper max 32gigs and 1TB. It hurt to spend that much but it only hurts once lol

if the above image is any indication, Apple may be holding on to delivery on your initial date. Mine is Feb 16th - March 1st. if Apple is aiming to deliver on Feb 16th, they'd charge me week of the 7th. "maybe"

I ordered slightly earlier a 1TB 14" on 1/6 with a 2/2 - 2/9 delivery window, but is still processing. Was waiting for education discount which I kind of regret a bit because my current MacBook Pro 2011 is having charging issues and I need it for work/other. I'm in NZ though, not sure if different to USA/other countries.

16" Max / 64GB / 1TB (Silver)

Nov 30th - Ordered (Del. window 01/17-01/28)
Jan 14th - Card Charged
Jan 18th - Preparing to Ship
Jan 19th - Shipped
Jan 25th - Delivery (Bangkok)

* Loving having MagSafe, Inverted-T Arrow Keys, HDMI, SD Card, and Function keys back (I thought the TouchBar idea had potential but it should never have been part of the keyboard as it 'vanished' and was 'dynamic' - two characteristics you don't really want on a keyboard. Could have been an additional thing)
* Touch ID is super fast and swaps between users instantly - big improvement over the 2018 for me
* Feels Chunky like my 2011 15" and this is a good thing
* Couldn't care less about the notch (can't even take a screenshot of it)
* Keyboard is way way way better IMHO - I didn't hate the last one, but it failed on me twice in 3 yrs
* I used a TM backup to do the data swap. I was happy to leave it running after I went out and guess would have taken about 6hrs (~750GB). If I wanted to do this quickly I learned that I would have needed to have had a TB cable and a backup on an SSD.... worth keeping in mind if you don't want to use so much time.
* The screen is awesome but I had no issues with the last one - the additional real estate is appreciated
* Haven't heard the fans yet, but haven't done anything particularly taxing
* Bought a hard case from China which arrived on 01/24 which was handy. Generic plastic top/bottom/keyboard cover etc. that I have had on my last few laptops - I splurged this time and got the one with a keyboard brush, port plugs, and a webcam cover for $11.56 delivered. Would be nice to get a nice leather-covered hard case in the future like Vaja/Andar but the current one will do (fits the same as previous gens).

From a few of the posts here it would seem that 'peak waiting' might be over and hopefully others won't have to continue to wait ~8 weeks (although this is understandable in the current situation).

Many things still to be tested properly but all good so far and love how easy MacOS migration is.

Same here. been on the same step as yours since 1/23. But I ordered mine a whole month later. Crazy that yours has taken so long!
