MacBook questions

I have never owned a laptop or anything wireless, but my macbook will pick up my a 'default' wireless signal which is coming from across a residental street and two houses down diagonally.. no password or anything so it cant be too great of a router.... I would say it about 200+ feet away, its faint but i get it!
 
MacBook WIFI

Put simply the MacBook WIFI performance is outstanding. It betters both my G4 Powerbook 1.5Ghz AND my desktop Dual 2GHz G5 Powermac.

I have the black MacBook with 2GB Ram and the WIFI is awesome - picks up so many signals, never drops...amazing. love it.

In fact MacBook is lovely.
