Additional Notes
  • Please know, Memory Management has always been an issue on any OS (not just Apple's). If you believe there is a Memory Leak, please go to the Apple Menu > Restart > Restart to fix it.
  • When a new macOS release comes out, all issues automatically go to "Untested Issues" until they are moved by someone. Issues that stay in Untested for 3 releases (beta or smooth) will be removed from all future threads. When there is a new macOS release, please be sure to let us know about the issue's status by moving it to either "Remaining Issues" or "Resolved Issues"
  • macOS 14 Sonoma will be installed via a Delta Update in System Settings. Please be aware about this and the update won’t install with an installer.

AirPlay from iPhone to Mac with Lockdown enabled is still broken. Yes, I’ve re-enabled AirPlay reception in macOS settings.

Im confused, isn't the point of lockdown to not be able to do this stuff to be protected?
No. Although AirPlay reception is toggled “off” in macOS upon entering Lockdown Mode, it is still supposed to function after re-enabling. In other words, it wouldn’t be fundamentally broken.

But leave it to MacRumors fanboys to explain away such basic functionality being broken with, “iT jUsT wOrKs!!1” 🤣

Thanks for clairifying. I have never used Lockdown mode, and I just assumed stuff like that would just be off. This is a beta, and it will likely be fixed in the next beta, if not 14.3.

Yeah, it’s been broken in every beta of 14.2—at this point I’m holding out for 14.3.

Oklahoma City Ok
14.2 Beta 4.

I have 500 GB of downloaded music I imported. Not playing from the playlists I have. I can right click and find it in its folder and it will play. But when I play a specific playlist, it infinitely fast forward through the songs.

This worked OK earlier today before I updated to the new beta.

For me, it's jumpy, but it moves.

Lou
Progress bars in Audacity (3.4.2) are jumpy also, and the meters do not work - they're blank.
The Download progress bar in Safari jumps also.
