So did you turn both off and then turn on WLAN and then LAN? That's what I did and nothing worked. I even kept LAN off and also tried keeping WLAN off separately and no combination seemed to work for me.

The find my widget has been split into 2 different widgets, one for items and one for people; you will have to add a new widget for people.
Thanks

Any idea where I can see the second widget? The list of widgets under Desktop -> Edit Widgets only has one instance of "Find My" and that only has items.

Strange, my "Find My" has both

Has anyone ever managed to create root account which works? From B1 on my root account has no finder and therefore unusable. Tried everything: new install, upgrade Ventura, Sonoma install without apple-id.....
Can't find any mention of it on the net.

Gotcha, hope you find a fix.. mine is fine

For me, the only problem I'm seeing so far: Desktop widgets crashing. Created a new user to test, crashes there too (without being signed into Apple ID)
Same here, crash after crash, and signed in, I haven't tried Safe Mode though. Everything else for the most part working.

Has anyone had issues setting up Canon 3500 series printers, or printers in general, seems as though Print Center has "taken over"? It shows up in System Settings, but the interface is completely different between both drives and they are a mirror of each other, same build (23A5328b) and Canon Print Utility works as it should, the other not so much, it prints fine, just perplexing why they're different.
Both drives are Thunderbolt 3 external NVMe's.
Aside from that almost all 3rd party apps work as they should.
CopyLess 2 random crashes
Widgets, guaranteed crash
iMac 19,1

Update: So now Safari Widget crashing, now that's a first.

VPN via Tunnelblick 3.8.8d works for me
VPN via Wireguard 1.0.16 works for me (needed to reimport the config)

Apple Compressor 4.6.5 doesn't crash anymore on launch.

So far I like the new beta.

Hi,

everything is just fine in Sonoma Beta but my Cinema 4D R16 GUI is broken (attached images)...
Hovering mouse pointer over any GUI element replicates it everywhere! 😱

Meanwhile the very same Cinema 4D R16 is working like a charm in macOS Ventura.
Supposedly it can be a Rosetta issue... Tried to reinstall Rosetta, but it didn't help and no errors in logs....

Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks in advance... 🙏🏻

Tried in beta 6 and when you log in as root, Feedback Assistant launches but refuses to switch to the Finder.
You can try as hard as you can to relaunch the Finder but you can never 'enter' it.

Apple may consider running as root as too big a security nightmare so they just choose to not invest any time in letting it work past the Terminal level.

Just tried signing into my M1 MBP after the screensaver’s been on all night, and I didn’t get the password field. My user ID picture is there and all of the other lock screen stuff is there, but there was no password field. Usually it just unlocks with my watch, and if that doesn’t work, the password field will show up, but not this time. Had to do a hard reboot.

This update broke Diarium for me. Crashes as soon as I click on a date. Serious battery drain with this update as well.

IVPN, which has worked thru all previous betas, is not working here on DB6 (on either of my macs). the app opens, but no webpages open (safari or chrome).

EDIT: and am back in business! had to uninstall/reinstall the app (& changed my DNS settings).

There are still bug with Stage Manager on external display. I can't make it appear from left on external display. So I can't arrange 2 apps next to other.
I'm using Stage Manager with hidden left panel.

Not sure if my Mac is faulty (not had any issues prior to this beta) but I'm now on my 5th complete freeze and kernel panic since updating.

I've reported them all to Apple, but if it continues I might have to restore to Ventura and see if it still happens.

This has now happened to me three times on this build. I come back to my Mac in the morning and press the trackpad to wake it up, and it shows a small spinning wheel (not beachball) where the Password Field would be, and it just hangs there. I've waited and waited just in case, but the screen just goes black again like I hit cancel. I've had to hard reboot when this happens, and that's no good.
