I've been trying to download this morning. When the status bar reaches 15 minutes to go, it stops. Then minutes later I get a message saying it didn't complete and to try again. This has happened five or six times.

Edit - FINALLY - Got it installed💪

I submitted FB12202204 back on May 24 for being unable to select a Folder in the Photos App to randomly cycle thru photos for Desktop Wallpaper. After all these releases (and me updating the Feedback), we're getting so close to release and it's still not working for me and a few others.

Is the quick look bug from macOS 13 still there? The one where if you quick look a file/photo and then switch focus to a different window (say, Safari) the quick look window goes into the background and the finder window comes into the foreground? It's super irritating and did not exist in macOS 12. There's a possibility it only happens with external monitors plugged in but I'm not sure.

Can anyone confirm?

Speedometer results somewhat disappointing, low 110-120s in beta 7 where beta 1 was regularly scoring 150s-160s.

Root mode slightly better in that you can launch apps in the dock but Finder still locks up..

Since the last beta, I have had the problem that I can no longer select a new wallpaper. The default background image has also been changed and the menu bar no longer changes to dark mode, but everything else does.
In the system settings I get a loading wheel.

It might be because I'm testing Sonoma on an 8 GB RAM i5 2018 Intel machine, but after going through my usual round of apps (Office, Acrobat, a few OpenGL based games like FTL) this build of Sonoma 'feels' the opposite of 'snappier..'

When a standalone installer becomes available I may try to wipe and reinstall, but I don't feel confident it'll resolve the responsiveness issue.. moving it to a 16 GB RAM machine or Apple Silicon unit would likely yield better results.

I've also tried to use a simple wallpaper (solid color) but it doesn't resolve the issues in the OpenGL apps with slowness. When a ship is in an asteroid field in FTL the entire game should not be coming to a crawl!

Might also just wipe and install Linux Mint, that worked for an 8 GB 2011 Mini pretty well..

Looks like with the latest beta I can no longer mount DMG images, I'm getting a "Permission denied" error. Rebooting and even creating another user account doesn't help.

Am I the only one with this problem?

FWIW, I'm not having this issue at all

Nearly similar issue. Every time changing the background image, after moving to another space the new default image is back again :-(
Tools like „Earth View Desktop“ can not change to the google earth view as desktop background :-(

'Show Network Monitor' in Little Snitch 5.7 is crashing for me with this build.

Also unable to use Arq 7.23, as it can't connect to the background Arq Monitor process

which mac? nothing like that here (on my air or mini...). obvious question (sorry!): have you rebooted?
It's a 2020 M1 MBP, happens at some point shortly after rebooting and being logged in. I'm able to confirm preferred settings are in place but when I come back after the Screensaver's been on, the settings to dim the keyboard is turned all the way down. I can slide it back again and the keyboard lights up. But if I allow the screensaver to come back on after a moment, the slider drops down to zero again. Rebooting doesn't help, and I've even reinstalled the latest build over itself. Not seeing any change.

what happens if you change up your settings? or disable the screensaver? or perhaps it's a wonky preference file...
