Apple has not officially acknowledged the graphics issues affecting Intel-based Macs with AMD GPUs since the release of macOS Sonoma. I reported this problem to Apple in June 2024, and they indicated that a fix would be included in a future software update, though no specific timeline was provided. Multiple cases were logged through Feedback Assistant, with the most recent update stating: "Potential fix identified for future OS update". I have reached out to Apple for an official confirmation, as my case remains open.

I don't use Feedback Assistant. Tried it a few times and never got an answer.

I hope your fix is coming soon and that they care for intel Macs for a while.

Just installed RC2 on mini. iMac rebooting now. Build only one number up. Not even listed in Dev. portal (yet). Was 24E246 before.

Anyone having issues with iCloud Private Relay on RC2? It's unavailable only on Mac, on iPhone it works perfectly

It even seems they are gone since RC1. I had problems for very long, starting somewhere in the 15.3 Betas.

Finally installed 15.4 RC 2 on an external SSD on my M4 Mac Mini. As mentioned earlier, my last attempt resulted in borking my M4MM, but this time it worked.
I used a Samsung T5 (yes, it's a bit slow (only 500 MB/s read/write) but it works), installed 15.3.2, then got it to upgrade itself to 15.4 RC2. And it all seems to be working (replying to this thread on it).

I was wrong. It borked my Mac Mini again, when I tried to return to booting from the internal drive.
I don't know if it just my machine, or if others, trying to install this on their M4MMs have had the same problem.

I have now reported this to Apple via Feedback Assistant.
It seems that 15.4 works ok until you try to switch to a different drive. Then the switch-over corrupts something.

Vmware Fusion stopped working in RC2 :(

Can't test it anymore. I deleted all Windows 11 ARM VMs in VMware, UTM and VirtualBox. It was just for testing and I thought the problems are gone and won't come back that soon.

I don't even have a Windows license and thought it will stopp working anyway.

I planned to install Linux and maybe BSD VMs. But I don't even know what distribution to choose yet.

In my case no other drive was involved I just reinstalled Beta 4 from within Beta 4 and then it needed a new Firmware from my other Mac to revive.

Version 13.6.3 working fine here on my Mac Studio M1 Max.

I am restoring my VMs now from TimeMachine to test if they still run on a M4 Pro mini.

Running just the app is and never was a problem.

Edit: Time Machine is slow by the way. When I copy directly from one of those TB4 drives it feels 10 times faster and those are only a few large files.

Windows11 Pro running well on VMWare Fusion on my Mac Studio after restoring from TimeMachine.
The Studio was upgraded to 8 TB of storage and I ran DFU to re-install Sequoia 15.3.1, then upgraded through the betas to 15.4 RC2. No problems with VMware Fusion in any of the Sequoia versions.

Good luck with the TimeMachine restores on the M4 Pro mini.

Does anyone have any issues with applications seemingly hanging? I've had some lag when unlocking as well as bringing up some system applications.

It's running here too. But I just noticed it's an unfinished installation and asking for a network driver, after setting region and keyboard region.

Also I get this, when I try to update:

Screenshot 2025-03-31 at 16.25.19.png

I downloaded it again from that Broadcom account you need now, even to get the free version.

But at least I can confirm Windows 11 ARM is running somehow. Maybe I just configured it wrong.

The UTM VM wasn't in that backup part. The biggest part was VirtualBox and that didn't work before. It's only supported in a prerelease version.

I think UTM and Parallels were the only really finished installations and Parallels was just a trial.

Nothing special in VMware Fusion Network settings. I just left them on default.
