I run 5 SSDs with an OS on them. One is for Beta use only. I installed the very first Beta of Sierra and din't start to use it as my main OS until Beta 3. It has been rock solid for me since.

To be honest, that's a fairly shocking situation to have to be in. Microsoft seem to have taken a real lead here in their upgrade options.

I have an unsupported mid 2009 white MacBook running Sierra with the patch, and it runs fine. I have a mid 2010 MacBook I just upgraded to Sierra last night, and it too is working fine. only issue i had with it was on the mid 2009 unsupported MacBook that the track pad was no longer a trackpad just a basic mouse.
