Is it good enough for day to day use yet? Been holding off on putting it on my M3 Max MBP.

As long as you're willing and prepared to roll back to a previous OS version, or to fall back to another Mac that's still running Sequoia -- fill your boots!

I do not if it new in the beta 6 since I have not seen any on here, the Safari icon in the Recovery mode has been change, now it looks like a generic browser icon, the picture is not clear though

Since I have been using macOS 26 from beta 3 as my daily driver, my battery capacity has drop from 97% to 95%, Aldente capacity is now 90% after 2 calibration in an interval of 1 week each

    • Workaround: Make your display not fall asleep in Settings > Lock Screen > Turn display off on ____ when inactive. You can turn your brightness off.
    • Issue present since macOS 13.0
Additional Notes
  • This is not currently usable on a day-to-day basis and certain apps may not work. To see those apps, you can check this thread.
  • Please know, Memory Management has always been an issue on any OS (not just Apple's). If you believe there is a Memory Leak, please go to the Apple Menu > Restart > Restart to fix it.
  • When a new macOS release comes out, all issues automatically go to "Untested Issues" until they are moved by someone. Issues that stay in Untested for 3 releases (beta or smooth) will be removed from all future threads. When there is a new macOS release, please be sure to let us know about the issue's status by moving it to either "Remaining Issues" or "Resolved Issues"
  • macOS 26 Tahoe will be installed via a Delta Update in System Settings. Please be aware about this and the update won’t install with an installer.

Beta 6 rerelease not showing for me (I’m on beta 6), I am too lazy to download ipsw or pkg installer… I will wait until beta 7 in few days

Resolved (from Sequoia): an audio system bug with AIFF files imported in to AppleMusic, where Sound Check would not work. The audio file would play at full blast, instead of at the normalized level. Soooo incredibly glad to see this fixed!

EDIT: THIS IS NOT RESOLVED! Ooops... still some Sound Check playback issues, now with all files, not just AIFF.

They should push the release date back. It's obvious it's not ready. Not even close

There’s still at least two more betas.
Plus an RC, and a possible second RC.
The last couple of OS releases, have come in late September, but before that, it was traditionally in October. So effectively we are 62% into this beta cycle. But again, another non sensical rant about a beta release, which has little bearing on the final product, as they tweak and merge changes.

Nope there is a macos rerelease too, you can see it from Appledb : https://appledb.dev/firmware/macOS/25A5338b.html

Or even from Apple Dev where you see that there is a beta 6 with a different build number !
Where are you seeing a different build number? 25A5338b was the build released on Monday, and is the same build number as PB3. There is no second release of DB6 for Tahoe. Only iOS and iPadOS had updated builds released to developers alongside this weeks public beta releases.

My bad, then it's apple db who is wrong.

Has anyone tried MacBartender 6 Alpha? I undated to Alpha 4 and it froze my system. Had to delete Bartender altogether. Alpha 2 worked fine.

Screenshots no longer being saved on latest public beta. Tried restarting and still no luck 😳

m3 macbook air

Not sure I understand🤔 My screenshots have always been saved as jpg files on the desktop. Nothing has changed throughout the Tahoe Beta cycle.
