What I'd really like, it's a way of creating Appearance profiles. For example, when the system switches to Dark mode, I would like a setting which makes me choose to automatically switch the icons style to Dark as well, or to Tinted.

This is possible on the iPhone, although in that case I can achieve that with the Focus setting: it doesn't just filter Notifications, but allows to link together Light/Dark mode, Icons style, Wallpaper.

I like when my phone switches to my Sleep mode, the icons are tinted (i.e. monochrome), the wallpaper changes to the Moon, the system is of course in Dark mode and the notifications are limited. Mac Os can also be turned to a Focus mode in sync with the iPhone, but the Icons theme must be changed manually, for example.

And there's still the issue that some wallpapers have Light and Dark versions, but you can't decide of having a wallpaper for Light mode and another for Dark.

I changed liquid glass to tinted and I honestly can't see any difference? The control panel looks the same

(But then, I never saw much liquid glass to begin with since I run in dark mode and don't use Safari, Music, etc.)

Somehow Dark Mode doesn't work anymore since the update had been released. Before I even downloaded it.

It only woks for some Menu Bar items. Very strange, even two of the same app are different.

I think this is just a sign that this OS is not out of beta yet :-\
It looks like the kids are still playing in the sandbox with glass cubes and circles and still can't find a solution 😅.
It will be ready in 2026 because it's called MacOS 26.

some users don't like Liquid Glass.
Try "Most". If the poll on this site is anything to go by, around 50% don't like it, and only c. 25% do, with 25% meh. I'd be surprised if those were the sort of numbers Apple was hoping for.

It's great that they're listening, though.

However, I just got a "We've made changes..." response to feedback I made 3 years ago, so I wouldn't expect overnight reactions...

Same here. Maybe they added the buttons and will get actual functionality (behind them) done by next release (be it beta, RC or whatever else)...

Looks like they fixed the Messages bug that wouldn't allow the conversation list to be expanded to view the entire person's name.

I didn't look yet, but does this beta include something similar to iOS 26 beta 4 that allows glass tinting to reduce transparency/glass look?
