this is a surprise; after a very-long time, i can now eject my secondary (external) drive without a 'disk wasn't ejected...' message, then having to click force-eject. whew. nice!

Filed a bug report for the control center list of available Wi-Fi networks. When I have a webpage open in Chrome/Safari/etc. and use control center to view list of available networks, it is unreadable after a few lines because it blends in with the white background.

hah yeah, a bit of stupid grey blur doesn't fix the issue.

“With the upcoming macOS Tahoe 26.2 release, Apple is introducing a new low-latency feature that lets you connect several Macs together using Thunderbolt 5. For developers and researchers, it’s a potentially useful way to create powerful AI supercomputers that can run massive local models. That allows four Mac Studios, which can each run up to 512GB of unified memory, to run the 1 trillion parameter Kimi-K2-Thinking model far more efficiently than PCs with power-hungry GPUs.”

So I guess technically now there is an Apple Silicon replacement for the 1.5 TB of RAM packing MacPro…

I'm finding that Finder is all but useless in Public Beta 3.

I get constant "beachball" unresponsiveness that lasts for at least 15-30 seconds. Then I get control back for maybe a couple of seconds before the beachball starts back up again.
Once in a while I'll get lucky and I'll have control for about 5 seconds.

This persists through reboots. Everything was working fine before I installed PB3 (I was on MacOS 26.1).

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Is anyone else seeing a selection in the Control Center? How do I get rid of it? I dont have any accessability features on

If "Keyboard navigation" is enabled in keyboard settings (not in accessibility settings) this selection will be there - and Control Center can be navigated with Tab key.
This has no relation to this beta - except if selection is there even when keyboard navigation is disabled.

Can anyone check if the website favicon is working properly in Password App on the latest macOS 26.2 beta as it is not working for me on 26.1. You can check by manually creating a new entry. Thanks in advance.
The same entry works fine on iOS and iPadOS.

Finally! The latest Beta has fixed the unresponsive Mail, Messages and Calendar apps.
I'm experiencing a weird bug with Calendar where the menu bar doesn't show Calendar, File, etc. If you move the mouse pointer to the menu bar, it will show them.

Yes, Finder is almost unusable and has several other bugs. I have to relaunch it almost every time after I used it.

Sometime it's even going crazy without any window open and is spinning up the fan of my M4 Pro mac Mini up to noisy 3000rpm from the standard 1000 that doesn't make any sound. When this happens it's using more than 100% CPU in Activity Monitor just to display three icons on my Desktop.

These kinds of bugs are just disgraceful. There's no way to not catch a Finder bug in testing. Apple just doesn't even pretend to care anymore.

It looks like Apple addressed the Electron performance "bug" (for Electron apps that have not been updated yet).

Very glad to see this. There was a lot of discourse here blaming the apps and not macOS for this issue. But my feeling is, Apple should be testing third-party apps for issues like this before rolling out a new major version of macOS. If there is a widespread issue like this, Apple should get ahead of it before rolling out the upgrade. (This is true even if apps are "at fault" for using "private APIs".) That could be by implementing a compatibility fix (as they appear to have done here), or by raising flags and making clear that this is an issue, giving developers plenty of time (more than just a few weeks) to get a fix out. People rely on the platform being stable and not all projects are set up for super quick bugfix turnarounds.

Better late than never :-\

Is the Wi-Fi widget at the top of your stack? I also have the top widget preselected when I open the Control Center (in my case the Sound widget). But this happens already in 26.1, I'm not testing the beta.

If Keyboard navigation feature is enabled then first widget is selected when Control Center is opened. Selection can be changed with Tab key and operated with Spacebar as anywhere elsee in UI.

I guess the Electron issues are not quite fixed yet...

Tbh, I'm not very happy with Beta 3. Battery life is bad, there are still regressions that are creeping in from the previous beta cycles, Safari becomes unusable if more tabs are open, etc. Feels far from being release-ready.

The big shadows are horrendous.

Same exact issues here! Safari crashed like crazy here! How could they messed this up!??
It’s one of the ugliest bugs I’ve had in a while. The worst part is that there doesn’t seem to be a rhyme or reason to it - sometimes it crashes, other times it’s fine. Number of tabs, what website, what other applications, none of it seems to make it better or worse.

At least it boots back up quick enough, but wow… hoping they fix this with B4/RC this week.
