Hi everyone. Since updating to MacOS Tahoe (updated to 26.0.1), my MacBook Pro M1 Max with 32Gb of RAM is running very hot every time I use it. It's almost hard to use as a laptop in the literal sense since it sometimes gets too hot to comfortably sit on my lap. I start sweating! This is causing swift battery drain. At times I'll see my battery charge drop in larger amounts fairly quickly. Last night while on a Zoom call my battery went from 70% to 50% in less than 10 minutes. When I check the Activity Monitor, usually at the top of the list is WindowServer. I'm presuming this is what runs my windows in the OS. When I try and quit it I have to log out and back in. So this is telling me that it's the system that is hogging my resources and then when I put other apps on top of that, it is creating my issues. Is anyone else experiencing this? Any thoughts on how I might mitigate this until the next update? Thanks for your suggestions.
