check (or try changing) some of the settings in system settings>keyboard (re: the backlight)...
Well, the thing is that "system settings>keyboard (re: the backlight)..." is not available under the keyboard settings! Unfortunately this MacBook Pro is my only mac with Ventura. I can see in an Macbook Air (2013 running Big Sur) that there is a setting called "Adjust keyboard brightness in low light", but again, this setting is not available in 13.2.1.
I have tried "the usual" resets (SMC and NVRAM) and also started in Safe Mode, but nothing helps

I just bought a mac pro 2019 loaded with Ventura. Its good, but I still think Ventura has a few bugs ...

huh. not sure why you're not seeing the backlight options. maybe a preference delete (ie the ambient sensor file).. really, if no one has ideas on this forum, and google doesn't help, call apple (i'd call them first actually)... 🤔
I have the back light option on mine as shown with yours. Something must be a mess with his.

The new updated breaks Sidecar.
My iPad keeps disconnecting, even as much as once a minute with the new update; it was never a problem yesterday, before the update.

Bonkers.

let's see if others report that, before we consider the sky is falling... both my macs updated without issue...

A brand new MBP 16” M2 Max went into the recovery mode when updating to 13.2.1 and got stuck with a spinning disk. I had to force restart.

How worried should I be? I still have about a week to request an exchange.

call apple! the best place to sort this out...

The update caused my Microsoft Wireless Comfort Keyboard for Mac to no longer work. The keyboard has never shown up in Settings/Keyboard, so don't know how to get the functionality back. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Is anybody having issues with second monitor using HDMI? Ever since I updated it stopped working

Edit: Nevermind It started working again

I am on the 13.2.1 with my MacBook Pro M1 Pro and no issues with the sidecar to my M1 iPad PRO 12.9 so far

I would suggest trying to reinstall macOS over itself. You can download macOS from the App Store and just allow it to run and install over itself. I've had to do this a few times over the last few years to fix some oddball issues. If I had the problem you're having, that's what I would do, anyway.

Anyone else have that stupid bug with bin? You push empty and stuck and you must cancel and push empty again.
