I’m currently running 4x16gb (geekbench 4= MC 24,900, SC 2779) from 6x4gb (MC 24,056 SC 2814) on 3.06 12 core. I’m not worried but my SC dropped a little bit. What is the science behind that?

2 x 16GB DIMMs for each processor = dual-channel.
3 x 4GB DIMMs for each processor = tri-channel.

Nehalem and Westmere Xeons memory controllers are tri-channel.
