I agree with arn -- planning something around MWSF is the best idea for an official event.

There is the annual London Picnic, the Las Vegas meet-up is currently being planned for this summer, and there are always meet-ups at MWSF and WWDC.

Don't forget about the Chicago Picnic.

And I don't think there have been any previous meetups at MWSF and WWDC. At least not officially. Just this year's MWSF meetup.

THIS, my friends, would be the ideal meet up! :D

UHM, YES!!

Hmm... I just need to find six other people to split the cheapest ticket with. $200 each and seven people in one cabin? Can you say PARTY ROOM? :p

edit:
upon further reading, it's $1400 for one person, not $1400 for one room. No more party room. :(

Actually, a big iChat gaggle sounds pretty neat.

Get as allthogether in one chat room, and have no idea what we are talking about.

Then again, the forums already do that for us.

But I'm still for it.

we could have one huge rave.....apples falling from the ceiling everywhere!!! and dancing!
Yes knock everyone unconscious as apples fall from the ceiling.

I think regional meet ups would be best, Im sure the northeast people could meet up at one of the 2 CT Casinos.:p

I wouldn't mind getting together with other MRers in St Louis sometime for a few drinks (booze or coffee or both, whatever) and some decent discussion about Mac things. Being relatively new to the city, I don't really get a lot of intelligent, geeky, face-to-face conversation...
