No English-speaking Geniuses in Nagoya? There are a few in Osaka, but the GB has become a madhouse in the last decade, full of iPhone users asking Qs like how do I turn on WiFi? Whatever basic problem you might have with your Mac they are certainly used to dealing with. But of course dealing with servicing--visits, packing/mailing, countering intransigence--is always a bummer.
One thing to consider: If, like me, you insist on a US keyboard (not JIS), it seems much easier to get one here on an Apple laptop than on the main brands running Windows.
