Y The hell anyone would want to mutilate themselves in that way is beyond me.

It does nothing for you creatively or cosmetically. Just makes me sad that people resort to that kind of mutilation to satisfy the fact they are vain.

mutilation and modification are two very different things, my friend. you should never tell some one that the choices they make do nothing for them, you can learn to respect or at least tolerate their decisions and keep your opinions to yourself.
no i am not vain, reasons people modify themselves vary from person to person. granted some people do it for vanity reasons, others may do it for spiritual or even just to see the limits of the human body.
next time, keep your negative opinions to yourself.
