You can drive at age 16 but drinking some beer? naaaoooooooooo

we can get our "L's" (you must be with a fully licened driver) at the age of 16 after you sit a theoretical test, once you get 120hrs (20hrs night time driving) of driving you can attempt to take the practical test, then you get your "red Ps" (provisional), you are on them for a year before you can go for your "green P's" (theoretical test) - which you are on for two years min. after two years you go do another theory test for get ur full license.

:)

Thanks for the compliments, but she doesn't like that photo, so for her sake, I'll post one she does.

HOT! I love seeing people with style. It takes the edge off the college chicks around here.:( nothing like baggy sweats to ruin your afternoon.

in SA we only have one set of P plates. but we now have P2's if you get a driving offence and have to do a perception test to sit for them. im on my P2's now for going 15 k's over the limit. its not that much different except you dont have to display your plates which is a BIG plus for me. you then get your full license in 6 months if youre a good boy/girl.

thats quite a wierd system, tsk tsk at speeding :D (not that im innocent).

That's just crazy! I'm really sorry ):

you have to be REALLY motivated, i advanced to the next phase everytime i had my birthday - i was really motivated to just get it over with. i dont know any other person that has done this.. its quite bad because people arent getting their license and find it harder to get jobs etc as transport SUCKS and having a car is important..

i waited about 15 minutes.. the place where i went wasnt crowded at all. City of Thousand Oaks.
the driving test itself took less then ten minutes end of story.

VA's is different, there are some wait times but our high school did driver's ed. so that was free (one of the few that still do it). Then you only needed 40 hours to pass the class. You hold your learner's permit for a year and three months and then when you get your license it $25 for a new license every five years and anywhere from $30-$80 a year for plates, price depending on your rate of personalization.....
