One word responses are idiotic.
Why is this so? Some times a simple yes or no is the idealistic response.

Why must we be forced to say things like-

"Yes! absolutely. couldnt say no to that."

-or-

"No, I would never answer yes to that question."

How about earning one word responses similar to the avatar?
I can see the need to police newbies and others who would just be trying to increase their ratio.
After that I see no harm..

NOTE FOR BELOW POST:

Thanks Doctor Q. Now back to members pics....

We interrupt this picture thread to reply to the comment about the rules.

A yes or no that answers a question (e.g., "Does the new MacBook come with Photo Booth?") is fine, but one-word posts that result from a lack of thought (it takes only seconds to type LOL and click Submit) are against the rules because they are so common and so often not worth reading. That's also why we don't have a "Quick Reply" forum feature that would encourage people to make small rapid posts. We're trying to encourage discussion, not chat.

The rule isn't perfect, but it reflects the tradeoff between letting people post whatever they want and making the forums worth reading. When people are encouraged to say "I found your post to be quite amusing" instead of "LOL", they are also likely to add more information ("I found your post to be amusing because..."). Increased verbiage isn't automatically more valuable, and anybody can "cheat" by avoiding one-word posts without really adding meaning, but length does roughly correlate with the effort put into posting something worth reading.

My reply isn't about freeny's or anyone else's posts in particular, nor this thread in particular, but about everyone's in general. But, since it came up here, I'm taking the opportunity to explain the purpose of the rule again.

And now back to the picture thread already in progress.

I LOVEEEE THE SOUNDS!:D I've met them twice and have both albums signed by all the band members. If you saw them on Jimmy Kimmel you probably saw me singing bouncing along like a big ol' loser. :p

And Amoba is amazing, I could spend all day in there. BTW, where do you go to school?

Awesome! Have you heard of The Ettes? They're an amazing little band. I believe they'll be playing regularly at The Echo in a few months. Oh, and the LA Film School. Literally across the street. :p

Sad to say, I've never heard of them. :(

Now we need a voting thread, to say which girl is prettier, freeny's wife or avatar ;)
don't you think they're the same person  very similar face features like face shape, eye shape, except that his wife is brunette which is easily solved with some peroxide ;)

Weddings? YUCK!

Yeah 8-10 hours or more of carrying around equipment and holding flashes at the right angles. But I need the money. And now I'm going to start working full time at the studio.
