Nice work, LimeiBook86! LimeiBook86's photoshop of mrjamin looks like the paintings by Picasso entering his cubism period. Well, maybe not exactly the same, but last night I got to see the French Masterworks collection of paintings from the State Pushkin Museum in Moscow, which is touring, and seeing paintings by Picasso, van Gogh, Monet, Cezanne, Matisse, and others that have rarely if ever been seen in the U.S. before was just amazing. Hmmm. Would Picasso have liked Photoshop?
''

I think that Picasso and Salvador Dali would both have liked Kai's Photo Goo, from which Photoshop has taken some inspiration. :D

okay, i just whipped these pics up.

i once heard on the radio or somewhere that the right side of your face is evil, and the left side is good. (or it might be the other way around?)

anyway, i mirrored the left and right sides. i've also done this to photo's of myself, my Dad and my bro.

unfortuantely mrjamin, i have to say that you have a very symmetrical face. some say that if you have a equally proportioned face, you're good looking. but that means your no fun to Photoshop. :D

anyway, here they are. this is just kinda interesting.... the more bizzare edit is still in the works... :D

wow, thats weird! i've seen pictures of various people and they do look really odd when their faces are mirrored, but it took me a few seconds to figure out what was unusual about the first one!

Another interesting thing; apparently you recognise people by one side of their face, for me i must remember the left side of myself as i couldn't see anything wrong with it until i saw the background! (i know that the right side was mirrored, but if you think about it, i only ever see myself in the mirror :p)

that is fascinating that there is the mirror imaging feature in photoshop...i can see the subtle difference in the two pictures

Tip: Once you have a mirrored-left-side image and a mirrored-right-side image of a face you know, use a morphing tool to make a movie, animated image, or series of images that let one version change back and forth to the other. This will let you see exactly what differs between the two.

I've not got any new pics of me yet but heres a few of my new University/city (well it's the size of a town but we have a huge cathedral)

And this is the world famous knocker on the cathedral. The story went that if the law wanted you, if you reached the knocker you were safe from being shot/stabbed or whatever and could seek refuge.

The town/uni is Durham btw.

Very nice pictures dstorey. It appears that your residence hall is a castle. That must be a unique experience.

An Englishmans house is his castle ;) Yeah, its really really cool....well it'll impress the ladies if anything ;) A guy from my course that did his first degree there, was telling me his friend got lucky with a girl there and he got taken back....unluckly he needed a pit stop on the way to her room, and being like a maze and being drunk, he couldnt find his way back.... I don't think he lived it down ;)

wow, those are some pretty stately looking schools!!

being from the west coast in the usa and having had my entire culture get it's real serious momentum mostly after the gold rush of the mid 1800s, there is not much out there as far as grand old buildings of grandeur...most of my area in northern california looks like it was mostly built in the generation after world war II and later so there is a real homgenous look to everything

so i showed my wife stanford, which is the grandest oldest college campus still standing and one of the few remaining educational institutions with stuff that's pre 1900...we lost a lot of stuff in the 1906 sf quake...and she thought, compared to the grand old buildings of east coast colleges built in the 1700s, and some before, that this west coast stuff looked new and unremarkable

so i told her i am not completely devoid of culture when it comes to have seen good old buildings made for school...i did see oxford and cambridge and they have some pretty gothic buildings:p

I have created a thread named MacRumors Members Photo Directory with an alphabetical directory of all the (real) photos in this thread, by member name. I am going to try to keep it up to date as this thread grows. Since it was too big for a single post (and it will grow over time), I split it into sections (A-F, G-O, P-Z). I posted an explanation of the directory too. I put the explanation last so it will be more convenient to go to the top of that thread to use the directory.

I request that comments about the directory itself be posted to the new thread, rather than here, so that this thread can stay focused on photo posting.

I wish I was in University College, but I'm in Ustimov college...it's the Grad college. I look young foe my age so it's weird in a way being in the grad college full of older people...I should be mixing it with the freshers instead... ;) I tried to get in St. Mary's (all girls college) but they wernt having any of it haha.

Apparently most people dont like Hatfield college as its where all the rich private school toffs sign up for (they have a name for them but I foget). Collingwood has a monument in the town next to me...He's a famous admiral from the area that helped wellington beat the french in the battle of waterloo.....

btw i have more pics of Dur at www.geocities.com/tellin_storeys/Images
not got round to making a page so you'll just have to click on the folder and then each seperate pics....
