Interesting pic mate. How'd you find all the poverty? Also, you might be able to help me out. For some reason all the Latter-day Saints I've ever seen wear the black pants, white shirt and red tie combo. Why is that? Just wondering if there's any significance. :)

Sorry for not responding sooner, but it looks like klymr answered your question. As for the poverty, it really opened my eyes. Being from the United States, I was born with ignorance as to the rest of the world. I only spoke one language and assumed that everything was done in the "American way." Moving to a country where 85% of the citizens would be considered poor in the US (average monthly income was $50 USD!), I learned a lot more about human nature and what things are truly important. Family and friends are top on the list of Mozambicans. What's tops the list of Americans? HDTV? Huge houses?

I knew a families of 11 living in a home the size of my apartment who were genuinely happier than many individuals who live in large, empty multi-million-dollar homes. It really put things into perspective.

On an Australian note, one of my best friends from the mission (he was a missionary with me) is from Adelaide. I haven't talked to him in a while, but you've given me motivation to write him an email.

Yup, i'm 16, and never get served fags/scratch cards etc... London is strict.

Heh, my eye is clearly keen from too many jobs in the service industry. :D

Edit: I think there's a strict thing going on; I'm 27 and was IDed recently in Tescos for buying non-alcoholic beer. :p

What will our American friends think?

I did think that, but then figured my intended recipient was British and I reckoned the others could look it up. :p

My ICT teacher made me wear his sun glasses, because i laughed at them when he walked in.
It was either wear them, or face an hour detention.
That's probably the worst lie I've heard in awhile. Just say "I think I look better/more bad@$$ with shades on." The story just makes the whole situation that much more sad ;)

Please un-pop the collar. Thank you! :)

Haha, I was going to post the exact same thing! :D Do a lot of kids really "pop da colla" these days? It looked silly when the fad first started 20+ years ago and, well, not much has changed. :p ;)

Edit: Alright Erik, that's probably good advice... ;) :D

Come on now Shard; you're the one admonishing others for their supposed silliness in their pictures with fashion faux pas?

Pop or not, it's definitely current fashion. You name the brand or style (Polo, Crew, A&F, HC, CK, etc.), popped collars are still quite the norm...

Well, yes, after all, I am the MacRumors Bastard.™ ;) :D

Seriously, it's all good, I was just having fun. If we can't laugh at ourselves, who can we laugh at? :) And you're right, it's definitely in style right now, so I say go with it! Just like with every other fashion fad, people will look back at themselves several years later and say, "Holy crap, I thought that was cool at the time?!?" ;)

It is funny how things come back into style though. Almost everything these days (fashion, TV, movies, design) seems to be retro or borrowed from previous decades - I sometimes question where the originality is anymore, but that's a topic for an entirely different discussion. ;)

So no harm meant at all. If people want to start wearing pink shirts with sequence that's fine by me too - as you say, who am I to criticize?... ;)

We had a midnight BBQ, I'm on the left looking fatter than usual  (then me' Adam and me' Tom, who brought his guitar with an Apple sticker on it. Fella hasn't even got a Mac any more!)

'was a good night :)

What, did you make a law against people who pop their collar! I'll make a law against people putting a smiley face after a dumb comments.

Eh, I'm a popper too. Lay off...

Thanks!

Let's not start this argument again.

I'll get to that in a second.

You find it as silly as I find old people wearing socks with crocs (or crocs non the less) with a wireless ear piece for their cell phone.

And with current fashion I stand, unless current fashion were to make me do a pony tail, I'm fine.

And at that note, were done.
