It's weird because I seem to get "This option is not eligible due to restrictions placed on the package by the sender." no matter what I try
Thanks for the tip, my issue is kinda the opposite, my building has a security guard who receives all the packages, and because of the virus the property management company is insisting on them holding parcels for 30 hours (supposedly because the virus can live on cardboard for that long) before letting you get them, which sucks since it means I have to wait an extra 30 hours from when UPS delivers the box. I'll probably end up trying on the day it's delivered anyway and see if they'll let me have it before the 30 hours are up.

When I ordered my keyboard the only option was standard shipping (2-day). UPS has been showing - label created for the last 2 days with a 4/22 delivery (Apple shows Preparing for shipment). Apple just notified me that it has shipped and will delivery on 4/23 - so that would align with "standard" shipping.
UPS MyChoice still shows delivery tomorrow 4/23. Since my iPad is still processing and has delivery of 4/21-4/23 - I would not want a keyboard before the iPad, so perhaps they will come same day!
Will be here soon either way and hopefully worth it.......
I've had the opposite happen a couple times recently where Fedex and UPS apps both indicated earlier delivery dates than the vendors (Apple and Amazon, respectively), and indeed the packages were delivered per the carrier dates. I rely heavily on the two carrier apps and find them to be reliable and very helpful. My general experience with Apple order status is that it can take up to 24 hours for updates, which makes the waiting pretty hard.
i had bad luck, mine was at the local depot and out for delivery, then at 2:30 the delivery date updated to April 23rd. In Ontario.
I ordered mine on release day within 40 mins or so of sales going live. I was sitting on preparing to ship for about a day. I just got the notice that order has shipped via FedEx. Apple is saying delivery by 4/23, FedEx is saying by the end of Tomorrow (4/22). We'll see who's right.

Same here but UPS for me says 4/22 delivery despite Apple saying 4/23. We’ll see what happens.

UPS right now is saying label created last night, but nothing about a specific delivery date yet for me.
That gives me hope I'll get information later tonight or tomorrow... I was 4/15 at 4pm Eastern.
Ugh, I'm getting annoyed. I ordered last night from BestBuy.com and chose Expedited delivery and it said it'd be delivered on 4/22 and shipping was $21.97 but I was like oh well. Its worth getting it before April 28th - May 5th like my Apple.com pre order said. This morning I get on here and see how someone said Best Buy's website is offering free overnight shipping when you order so I call Customer Service, wait on hold for 54 minutes to get my money back. The rep almost tries to tell me they usually can't do anything about timed promotions but finished by saying since I'm a Best Buy Elite Member they'll go ahead and refund my shipping. It's now 7:23 PM here and I have yet to get a shipping email. It just says "Getting it ready". It better come tomorrow I'll be pissed!
UPS still only shows "Ready for UPS", and is still convinced it's gonna travel from TN to NC to my door by tomorrow afternoon. That seem unlikely to y'all?

depending on your expectations I think it will be worth it. so far the reviews are good.

Same situation. I think Thursday like I said earlier. As soon as they receive the Shipment (sometime tonight(“), they will update the delivery estimate to Thursday, which is still earlier than Apple’s original estimate and just in time for the weekend
