Magic mouse 2 stops scrolling occasionally in Monterey

am on the betas, but only worth doing if you're willing to risk occasional glitches and sometime mayhem. but since it seems fixed in the latest beta(s), should be fixed officially with the next update (12.1)...

Happened the other day with my usb connected MTP2. It stopped working while I was using it. Turned it off and back on and it worked. I’ve only had the click problem one time in 3 years on Mojave. Monterey is turning out to be a hot mess.

Same problem here after upgrading from Big Sur macOS 12.4.

However I recently also switched to the new silver/black magic mouse from an old white one.

Toggling Bluetooth power resolves it. Toggling the mouse off/on does not.
