Guess I'll try to return my MM2. This was literally the reason I bought it.
It is so weird, I know it is sending out a pairing signal. I can easily see it on my Windows 10 machine.
It is almost like iPadOS is specifically ignoring it.

even android phone easily detected.. pretty odd thou. i have try unpair with my imac and open freely..

Just tried and I cannot get my MM2 to be detected with the latest beta either. I have a Logitech BT mouse and it works fine.

Anyone tried on the new Developer beta? I already returned my MM2 but was still curious.

Thank you. “Classic mode”? Where is that setting to be found? Something in that particular mouse’s configuration?

It's called "Normal" mode in the Mac mouse settings. I always considered it unintuitive to school that way, so I always change it. No can do on the iPad Pro, it only alows scrolling "Natural " direction. Sorry to confuse with "Classic" some mouse software suites have that term.

TLDR, The mouse scroll direction can not be changed on iPad.

I have a first generation Magic Mouse and it pairs just fine with my iPad Pro 2018. I wonder if it has to do with how the mouse pairs with a Mac initially. Do you have a friend with a Mac that can pair it for you for the first time then try again on the iPad?

If the question is to me...
My daughter has a new Macbook Air, the MM2 paired instantly.
I then put a bluetooth dongle on my work Win10 desktop, turned on bluetooth and it saw the MM2 immediately and paired it.
This is just by turning on the mouse, none of this, hold the button down for 40 seconds nonsense.
I'm leaning towards that it is not supported on purpose, it sees it but doesn't let you add it.
Maybe they are working on getting it fully functional before they unwrap it, who knows?

Trying to connect a Magic Trackpad (1st gen). Unfortunately, my IPP is not "seeing" it when its in Discovery mode.

Magic Mouse has been working for be since beta 3 or 4. Not sure for others but haven’t had an issue for me. But like mentioned, no gestures. Click and holding allows scrolling. I can live with that. Gestures would be a bonus.
