I finally installed Outlook this morning - I have been very close to smashing my phone or almost wanting to throw it out the window on several occasions during this horrendous ordeal. I state again, for such an old and mature app, which really hasn’t received much attention in terms of new features, I have no idea why it’s so atrociously broken.

I assume you filed bug reports for the issues you came across?

If you're getting angry because beta software is buggy, you're probably not of the right temperament to be installing beta software on your daily driver.

Mail is hot trash for me right now, deleting emails doesn't actually delete them on the server, selecting all emails automatically uses the two-finger swipe gesture, delete all doesn't work and even has the effect of making my inbox go blank until I restart the Mail app.

I know this is a beta and all but there are some seriously big bugs right now given this is already beta 3 - naturally they will be resolved.

It's so frustrating with stock mail app that I have started using Outlook. Let's hope, it will Ok in 4th beta. Today, I was expecting beta 4 to be released but didn't.

I don’t think you’re going to see a new beta this early in the day.
The betas seem to come in the afternoon, and remember Apple is on the west coast of the US. As I type this it’s only about 3:00 am their time.

which horrendous ordeal? the one in which you willingly chose to test out an unfinished beta software?

To borrow a line from an old 70's TV show: Don't do the crime if you can't do the time.

Apple has gone out of their way to say the current iOS / iPadOS betas are buggy and that you shouldn't use if you don't need to. We have chosen to install anyway knowing there were risks, knowing things wouldn't work, etc. It's like a rollercoaster.... enjoy the ride. :)

does anybody know why mail is completely broken in the betas. Syncing doesn’t work, displaying some emails doesn’t work etc. it’s not a massive change in iOS 13 so I am questioning why it is so broken vs other apps.

My understanding is that Apple has made changes to the way iCloud synchronises across devices. The may be the root cause of some or all of the issues we are having. give the devs time to figure out what is wrong and the best way to resolve. This is why companies do betas -- to identify and rectify (or at least work around) what isn't working before the general / public release.

As with any issues you see in the beta, use the Feedback tool to flag the issue (and to provide Apple with more data they can use to identify and fix it).

I have the bug where it shows unread messages but there isn’t any. It has gotten a little better with bets 3. But still shows one unread.
Yes and what's weird is it was ok right after PB2 dropped, and then started keeping the false badge again. I think some other bugs did the same where they seemed gone right after it dropped then resurfaced.

I'm not a developer, I'm an economist. But, I have an Apple developer account only to test their software and report bugs. I hope this answers your question.

Is everyone finding PB 3 any improvement.
Asking as it's downloading both iPad and XS as I type.
Agree with lists of iOS user's that Mail delete function etc has become temporarily interrupted.
Also I hope I don't have to wait until GM as Sky Q app isn't connecting to Q box so limited live t.v. Function without viewing Q box recordings some of which are UHD.
Apart from those iOS 13 is fine -is iPad OS13 a re brand of ios13 -seems almost identical feature wise.

Is anyone having the issue where tapping on a new mail notification on lockscreen or banner does not actually open the message but just open mail to the previous state it was in? Not sure its intended or not, but I hope its just a bug

Yes, same issue here. Not a biggie, but a bug none-the-less. Reported.

I am now receiving emails from both iCloud and Exchange/365 accounts, but occasionally I see just the Subject Header - no email body text. Have to force close Mail, and reopen to fix.

Finally, email threads are still borked. They were perfectly okay for the first 24 hours, but about halfway through today they started appearing out of order - within a thread.

I'm having the same issue on Exhange/office365.

Hmm. So I force closed Mail, opened Settings > Mail and turned off all "thread" related items. Then opened the Mail app and all is good - because there are now no threads. Force closed the Mail app again, returned to Settings > Mail and turned everything back on again. Returned to mail and all threads show correctly, latest email "on top".
Anyone want to make a bet as to if it sticks and is still okay in another 24 hours? :) Reported.

PB3 on my 10.5 iPd Pro, Mail app seems just the same as PB1.

iPadOS does not seem to have the battery optimisation feature, does not have Battery Health either.

When you go to print an email the print command is on the bottom of the list of choices. Is there a way to change the order of commands as in the the “more” selection on the share button in Safari?
