One of my ISP email POP accounts has suddenly started asking for my password on every get or send email.
I am using 10.11.2 since release and this has suddenly happened although I have not installed software or made any system changes.
After reading numerous reports and suggestions i.e.deleting and setting the email account (it rejects the attempt at authentication),checking keychain access ( unable to find First Aid?) altering/deleting entries for Mail in usr/library,restarting etc no solution found that solves the problem.

Please note that a second ISP POP account has no problems with the same settings, and problem account is operative through webmail.

Also a clone of my system on an external drive only 2 days old when booted works on Mail with no problems and with the same email account settings.

It is a very inconvenient mystery. Any suggestions are welcome, although I have looked at most in Apple discussions having problems with Mail in El Capitan and both here and on other forums listed by Google.
