Other Making Steam work again on unsupported macOS after discontinuation

Hey guys im having an issue so steam just straight up closes when i try to open it. Any solutions? (im on a imac 7,1 with a core 2 duo T7700)

Did you download the right versions of steam for El Capitan/Sierra?
The terminal command is:

open -a Steam --args -forcesteamupdate -forcepackagedownload -overridepackageurl https://web.archive.org/web/20230801221717if_/media.steampowered.com/client -exitsteam

You might have to delete the steam folder in ~/Library/Application Support first to the delete the wrong version.
