Mammoth or Monterey for the name of MacOS 12

According to 9 to 5, Apple recently renewed the trademark name Mammoth and Monterey.

Which do you think it will be? I think Apple will go with Monterey.

I’d hope it would be Monterey because it sounds better than mammoth and is more consistent with the last few. But if it was Mammoth, I wonder what other names might follow that line.

That was my thinking as well. Mammoth just doesn't sound right for an OS. lol I hope we aren't proven wrong.

Maybe Mammoth will be the code name for the 24” MBP.

I much prefer Monterey because of the history and atmosphere. Mammoth would just be the basis of too many jokes for sure. Like Intel could use the lake scene to say nothing happening there.

Monterey says beauty to me and the ability to see a lot of things at once. Maybe that will correlate with a more appealing UI that is easier to navigate (not necessarily speaking about myself but to the whole).
