after talking to apple care i have wanted to do that before but not to my computer to one of them :D

I had a similar problem with apple once but in the end they repaired it

So this jerk spills something on his MacBook, Apple says this isn't warrantable, so he smashes the comp to hurt Apple.

Makes sense

(Everyone roll up your pants leg, we're wading in the shallow end of the gene pool)

*yawn*

A hothead...excuse me..."Systems Engineer" who spilled something on his computer gets angry when Apple won't give him free service. Bing bang boom, one smashed MacBook that still had salvageable parts. Seriously, the guy sounds like a little kid who's about to cry on his temper-tantrum video.

Uhggg... reminds me of the Chocolate Milk Kid, without the screams.
Cookie to whoever understands what I am talking about.

the man assure he didn't spill anything, people should not call someone a liar unless they can prove it, right? i agree that smashing the laptop is childish, what is strange is usually if you know you didn't do it, you don't just give up before you tried all the possibilities. the fact he gave up so easily makes me suspicious:rolleyes:

I thought that the apple is sign is backlit only when the screen is on. Or is it this way only in MBPs?
no, the logo is lit by the screen backlight so it's lit only when the screen is on, been this way since the pismo's

Um, ow. My MB cowered its iSight during that video. I wouldn't even do that (anything I own is my baby... within reasonable limits... M$). Also, the fact that he just gave up was stupid, I would have fixed it for the $700... despite me buying a new MBP in a few weeks. He could have given it to me... I like stuff :D !

Haha, I don't think he did that to spite Apple, but rather, he had just cut off his own nose and spite his own stupid face!!!!:p

A line from Mad magazine (from when I was MUCH younger) springs to mind...

"...He's an All-American Jerk"

More interested in publicity, than trying to get his Macbook fixed. Smells fishy to me...

well, if you have $1500 to spare it's sure a funny way to spend it.

i can only imagine that he really had spill damage and therefore didn't pursue it any further and rather made this video. or he's just an idiot.

aside of that, nicely done.:D

failing to see what this achieves other than his few seconds of entitled fame...
oh good he's gone. shame about the computer but hey, his money right.
