Ok AOE II is being a rebelious git. After updating it I have not been able to recreated a crash on it. Yet. Crashes are random I see no link where they happen, I will continue to recreate a crash in AOEII

Here is Wolfenstein Enemy Territory (latest version(only version I think))

Well, the crashes look fairly simiar.. I tend to doubt that OpenGL or OpenAL is causing the crash, but I am casting a suspicious eye at DivX6. I suggest removing it from your Quicktime plug-ins and restarting, and seeing if it runs. It's a long shot...

Also, it should be noted that apps DO crash. But it depends on how "often" often is.. if in the course of 6 hours of straight use it happens more than once or twice, IMO, that's "often". If it's once every couple days, that's not "often".

EDIT: Also, clear your caches.. trash the contents of /Library/Caches/ and ~/Library/Caches/ and restart.

I have a similar circumstance, AA & Wolfenstien ET return unexpected quit notifications after quitting the programs normally, Wolfenstien being the worst b/c it does not save profiles. I have DivX installed as well and wanted to present a possible problem with this program on iMac G5s.

And I'm pretty sure your running microsoft messenger 5.1, not the latest 5.1.1

I just had a series of similar stupid crashes, I ran AppleJack deleted a startup item and am running smooth again. I don't see why people are so quick to jump to a re-install.
