The only way to convince me to move away from my full die M1 Pro is by having 15/17 hour battery life. Currently getting between 7-9h.
True, they could get 2 updates in a year sometimes. Not in some instances.
What if they had a Pro chip model that had more power cores but also had more efficiency cores? Would that do the trick? Like you can get a 10 core M1+ chip but it only has 2 eff cores. If you did 4 eff cores it'd still have more perf cores than the base M1 but would be more comparable in efficiency. Or other times spend 2+ years between updates.True, they could get 2 updates in a year sometimes.
It was time for 6E this year. The iPhone is definitely getting it this fall. A few flagship Android phone already have it. And all Alder Lake–based laptops are getting it this year.I hope it brings wifi 6E (and btw 5.2/3) ,it's about time

Yeah! I would opt for this instead.. I don't use more than 35% of this M1 Pro CPU, heck I use more the GPU than anything else because I have it connected to dual 4K displays. What if they had a Pro chip model that had more power cores but also had more efficiency cores? Well, MBP, none. iMac and Mac mini yes. Ironic as those were the plug-in Macs which power had no sway.Which MBP pre-Skylake spent 2+ years waiting for an update?
You've been holding that one in for a year.Apple disagrees, as I predicted. https://www.apple.com/macbook-air/
