None of the CDs I have that are also available as Mastered for iTunes were matched to the Mastered for iTunes version. I noticed in the iTunes store that the Mastered for iTunes album release dates were newer and the old non-Mastered for iTunes versions were still available. So... my quick test has the same results as the others here and the answer to the OP (for now) is "no".

I still don't have Match, so I may not understand fully how it works, but have you tried to "rematch" since the albums became MFI or were they already MFI when you created your original match? Or does it even matter, does Match just go out and replace old tracks with MFI material on its own? Sorry for the ignorance on the subject.

Yep, I tested two recent titles.

U2's Achtung Baby and the new Coldplay CD.

Both are Mastered for iTunes in the Apple Store.
Coldplay was purchased on Amazon MP3 store and matched by iTunes.
I deleted and downloaded the iTunes Matched version.
No mastered logo on the info page.

Strange that Apple would host 2 different files but I guess they want to add value to those songs.

I purchased the new Beach House album ("Bloom") on sale for $.99 on Amazon, last night, and after iTunes matched all the tracks, I deleted them and re-downloaded. Unfortunately, only two songs came back as "Mastered for iTunes". There doesn't seem to be much consistency with this.

The two I tested were already MFI.

I don't believe Apple has two catalogues for MFI and non MFI stuff, there are albums that are only MFI for example and here in Italy on NONE of the albums (even the MFI cited ones) there is the badge indicating that it's MFI in summary view. So it's probably something that has to do with tags and maybe it will be fixed in the future.
