Have any of you guys seen an updated external harddrive that matches the new Mac Mini? The closest I've found is the NewerTech miniStack, but the size specifications match the old Mac Mini unfortunately..

I just picked up one of these you can lay it on its side and it fits right on top of my 2010 mini.

I bought the 1TB 7200 version. I'm using FireWire 800 and it's WICKED quick. It did a 200GB TM backup in under 2 hours!

I have one of those too... and discovered that while its on. the mini will not 'sleep' - even when the lacie itself is 'asleep'.Have you noticed this.. or have you found a cure?

for my part I wouldn't like to lay it on the mini.. as that would defeat its 'heat sink' - i don't know how important that is. its probably not such an issue as its powered down most of the time due to the 'sleep' issue.

but.. aside from that it is an excellent piece of kit.

I normally run a backup then turn the HD off. I don't leave TM on, so I backup manually every few days.
