So many of us are in this exact same boat. Apple doesn't seem to want us any more.

I'm hoping we can still extend the usage of the cMac Pro for a few more years given that software still works well on older hardware. Sometimes the speed gain with new hardware is minimal. The design and motion graphics studios I've worked with are still using old hardware about 3 to 5 years and gets the job done.

Yeah same here. After upgrading to a 6 core Westmere CPU, I'm basically considering my cMP a 2012 since that's what they were selling it with at that time. Hopefully it'll still hold up well with the PCIe SSD in it for several more years to come.
