MBA + iPad owners, are you update to iPad 2?

Probably up the ram, high res screen, front and back camera, lower the price, make it thinner, increase the screen size...this will make the 11" Air a hard sell. But there's things my Air can do that the iPad won't be able to do Bc at the end of the day, the Air will always be a notebook computer.
Exactly. Such as being able to actually type, run flash (install click to flash on chrome for best of both worlds), being able to do stuff without hoping that maybe one day an app will come out for that, etc. The iPad is a consumption device, so if that's mainly what you need it for, it's pretty good.
Run flash? Who the hell cares about flash - it's an outdated **** technology. It's also a huge drain on the battery!
As did I. The Ultimate is so good Ditched my 2008 3.06 iMac for it.
As for iPad 2...MBA and iPad complement each other perfectly, I can't wait!
I just picked up the 11 inch MBA last night and my iPad is already feeling a little redundant. I know they're two different devices, I mainly used my iPad for web browsing and email. I prefer the MBA more (for those tasks) because it's like an iPad (size), but it's a full computer.
I think this only goes for the 11 because the 13 feels like a regular laptop to me, that's why I didn't even consider it.
To answer the question, I probably won't be picking up the iPad 2 unless it has some killer new feature. I wish Apple would re-skin iOS for the iPad like what Google is doing with Honeycomb. The icons work on the iPhone, but in my opinion it's starting to look silly on the iPad.

I kind of agree, but I don't think it's going anywhere any time soon. The competitors are trying to use flash as a feature on their devices. Apple should just stop acting "childish" and allow it on the iPad. That would take a lot of air out of RIM and all the other soon to be tablet makers balloons.
Of course Apple doesn't need to do this because the iPad is going to dominate no matter what. We should have the option to install flash because it still is a big part of the web. Maybe they will with the iPad 2... ehh probably not haha
All depends on what the new features on the iPad 2 are. If the main hardware upgrades are the camera and minor improvements to the screen, then I have no real reason to upgrade. I think the bigger question is actually whether I'm going to get the next iPhone ...
To be honest, my significant other uses the iPad 1 a lot more than I do. The only times I ever use the iPad now are occasionally while sitting on the toilet (graphic, but true).

So unless Apple surprises me with some other feature that hasn't been reported, I feel like I will be passing.
I think the LION OS upgrade will be more of what I will be excited about in 2011.

LOL! I'm not even an Air owner, and I can PROMISE you that no matter what they do to the iPad2 (in the realm of reality), NOTHING will make the 11.6" Air a "hard sell". Some people will always want a physical keyboard and full version of OSX in a small package, and they'll ALWAYS buy the air.
Yep, exactly. No way I'm getting an iPad 2 (although I am totally prepared to eat my words as soon as I see it in person). The MBA is pretty much perfect for my needs aside from the battery life. All it needs, for my usage patterns, is iPad-like battery life. I'm sure we'll get there in a few more years.
The reason is simply because I have an iPhone already, which covers most of the things for which I would use an iPad, and the MBA is light enough for me to carry everywhere. Not really sure where the iPad adds some significant utility. But this is not to write off the tablet form factor altogether. I think what I'm looking for is what many of us wanted before the iPad was announced - full OS X running in an iPad. The day that happens - and I have no doubt that that day will come - is when I drop my hard earned cash for another iPad.
Got myself an 11" air, but likely will give it to my sister and pick up an iPad 2. It's just an awesome device for hospital rounds and quick referencing.
Yeah, its going to have to be some serious upgrades to the iPad in order for me to consider buying the iPad 2. I already feel theres a little too much overlap between the iPad and the Air. Apple needs to somehow combine the two machines into one.
I just recently bought an MBA 13" and the reason I went for the bigger one was because I already had an iPad so it seemed silly to get the smaller one.
So since I want to distinguish between my iPad and my MBA I reckon I will sell my iPad and buy the iPad 2 when it comes out.

I will. Serve completely different purposes for me. Before I used to carry a bigger laptop and an iPad now the air makes it a lot lighter.
iPad I can carry around easy at work. In conference rooms, etc. Fully integrated with work. Any improvements to speed will make it even better.

I love my current iPad and it meets all my needs. I don't see myself upgrading until at least iPad v3.

Same here... plus, the iPad is a decent investment and for not even having the device for a year I don't see the need to waste money on this release.
It all depends on what iPad2 has to offer. If there is not enough updates to warrant it, I'll wait. If there is a significant update, then I'll probably plan on it. No need for 3G, just the Wifi will do. If they keep the price down to 500 or less, then it'll be easier for me to do such an upgrade. Still, it comes down to features. Are there enough feature upgrades.
